What is SCAT J about?

Disputes and conflicts are common. However, if handled properly the damage can be limited and the situation improved. Thus, guidance in dealing with disputes is of utmost importance for a productive workplace.

This SCAT on dispute handling focuses on the factory’s policy and procedure for grievances and complaints from workers. Although there are alternatives to formal disputes procedures, a good grievance procedure is considered a first and absolutely necessary step to establish a functioning dispute management system. In return, good dispute management has a positive impact on labour-management relations, turn-over rates and production efficiency.
